Hi, guys! I hope this is the right place to post this in, but I was wondering how everybody felt about Nintendo's presentation for the Nintendo Switch 2? What do our thoughts look like surrounding this new console, and do we believe it will be as good as its predecessor? I have heard many viewpoints, some positive and some negative, so I am interested in hearing what you guys have to say about this.

Personally, I am stoked for Mario Kart World, Kirby Air Riders and Donkey Kong Bananza! Kirby Air Ride was one of my favorites on the GCN and I am delighted to see it make a comeback. I am also a big fan of the Mario Kart series - MK8 in particular - so I think it is awesome to see a new, full-fledged Mario Kart installment on the console! And as for the DK game, I'm honestly just happy to see the guy get his own new game after so many years of ports and spinoff titles. Also, I was very pleased to see the addition of GCN coming to the Virtual Console on the Switch 2! Tomodachi Life also made me pretty happy - it wasn't mentioned in this direct, but I think it is safe to assume it will be released on the Switch's successor, too. Many of the third party titles also looked quite intriguing to me as well.

Now, as for the cons: The price increases. I have seen this concern pop up the most regarding the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct. I can fully understand the backlash regarding Nintendo boosting their prices; The console price is believable, but 80 or 90 dollars for a game? Sheesh. Not to mention that they expect people to pay for a... tutorial? What the heck? It's well known that Nintendo seeks to make a profit wherever and whenever feasible, but this feels a little ridiculous. I get why people are mad about it and I can only hope that Nintendo will listen to the feedback and consider lowering their prices in the future. Might be a long shot, but... we can always dream, right?

The camera and microphone features are neat in theory and I can understand Nintendo's thought process going into it, but last thing I'll wanna see while I'm playing Mario Party is my face, lol... sorry but this is not a feature that I plan to use. The Discord-like online features are also cool, but honestly I'm more of a solo player so I doubt I will be utilizing that much, either.

I will probably hold off on investing in a Nintendo Switch 2 until more time passes and until I save up enough money to buy it. The price hikes are disappointing, but I am still ecstatic for all of the titles yet to come.

That sums up my two-cents worth regarding Nintendo's latest direct. What do you guys think about the next system? Please let me know in the replies below.

Thank you for reading and have a great day/night!
