I know this is going to come off as blasphemous, but I really love 1 Samuel 5:12 - "the men who did not die were stricken with hemmorrhoids and the cry went up to heaven." I just love the way that the Bible can be funny but also scatalogical. The rest of the story is about how the Philistines (who took the Ark of the Covenant and therefore suffered the hemorrhoids) make statues of golden rats and hemorrhoids in order to please the God of Israel.

There's also a book that I like called King David & the Spiders from Mars which is full of stories that are related to Bible stories, including a story of Absalom that makes him out to be a Hamlet.
