Turn to the Darkside?

I personally think it's time for a beloved character from the Mario series to turn bad. Weather it be mind control or just change of heart, it would add a great twist. What do you think? Do you think that would make for a good game, or boss concept? If so why or why not, and who would you like to see change?

That would be cool actually. I would like to see Mario brainwashed by Bowser or something and then Luigi has to save the day and save his brother from the mind control. I don't think any of the actual brothers could be evil unless someone was forcing them to be since they have been good for so long.

Wario and Waluigi essentially show us what Mario and Luigi would look like if they went bad, though I grant you that there is indeed a significant difference between seeing an evil Bizarro / Mirror Universe / Earth-3 doppelgänger of a character and seeing the actual character him-or-her-self going bad (vis–à–vis brainwashing or some other such plot device).
