Wii Should I update my Wii?

Hello, I just connected my Wii to the internet for the first time ever and it asked me if I want to update? Are there any advantages or disadvantages with updating to the latest version? Thanks?

Unless you have a modded Wii, you can go ahead and update. It can fix compatibility issues for some games.
